Welcome to GoSpaceWatch. Promoting Space Exploration and Astronomy through online lecture meetings and the bi-monthly CAPCOM Magazine. We have regular online lecture meetings via Zoom, featuring an expert speaker with a spaceflight or astronomical talk. CAPCOM Magazine is produced six times per year and contains original articles and features about astronomy and spaceflight

Forthcoming GoSpaceWatch Online Meetings & Events:

GoSpaceWatch Lecture Meetings are usually held on a Thursday evening at 8:00pm UK time. Tickets are available at just £3.00 each through Eventbrite. All meetings are conducted over Zoom and the login information will be emailed to the registered recipient two days before the start of the event. Then two hours before the event, and finally 30 minutes before the event start time.

It’s Not Rocket Science!
Rocket science is thought to be hard because the maths of orbital mechanics gets in the way. This talk skips over the maths and looks at orbits, how spacecraft travel between planets and how they can park at Lagrange points.

Artemis 1 is the first flight of NASA’s new Space Launch System (SLS) and the Orion Crew Capsule with the European Space Agency Service Module. Launch is scheduled for 13.29 BST on Monday 29th August 2022.
